Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Verkview, a task and calendar management application available at verkview.eu and app.verkview.eu, operated by Verkview – Marco Simioni (Inhaber/Owner/Titolare: Marco Simioni), Landsberger Allee 62b, 10249 Berlin, Germany ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using Verkview, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

Verkview provides kanban-style task management, a calendar view, optional Google Calendar synchronization, and optional AI-assisted task suggestions. Verkview is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, and is under active development — features may change, and we may add, modify, or remove functionality at any time.

2. Your account

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account, and keep your password confidential.
• You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
• You must be at least 16 years old to use Verkview.
• You can delete your account at any time from Settings.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Verkview for any unlawful purpose, or to store or transmit content you don't have the right to share.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service, or interfere with its normal operation.
• Use automated means to access the service beyond normal, reasonable use, in a way that could degrade the service for other users.
• Reverse-engineer or resell the service without our written permission.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of everything you create in Verkview — your tasks, projects, and other content. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. We do not claim ownership of your content and do not use it for any purpose beyond operating Verkview, except as described in our Privacy Policy for optional AI features.

5. Google Calendar and third-party integrations

If you connect Google Calendar or any other third-party service, you authorize Verkview to access that service on your behalf as described at the time you connect it, and per our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or behavior of third-party services we integrate with. You can disconnect an integration at any time from Settings.

6. AI-assisted features

Verkview's optional AI features (task suggestions, chat assistant) use third-party AI models to generate content based on what you type. AI-generated suggestions may be inaccurate or unsuitable for your specific situation — you're responsible for reviewing and confirming anything an AI feature suggests before relying on it.

7. Subscriptions and billing

Verkview is currently available free of charge. If we introduce paid subscription plans in the future, we will update these Terms with the applicable pricing, billing, and cancellation terms before any payment is required from you, and payments will be processed by a third-party payment provider — we never store your full card details ourselves.

8. Termination

You may stop using Verkview and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, or if we discontinue the service, with reasonable notice where practical.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Verkview is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including any loss of data — please keep your own backups of anything critical. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have as an EU consumer.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Verkview evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and for significant changes we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you directly.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence if you are an EU consumer.
